Lakers forward Anthony Davis is close to returning to action after injury.


According to ESPN columnist Dave McMenamin, the star basketball player is preparing to conduct several full training sessions and, if he avoids a relapse, will be able to return to the court next week.


Davis has been sidelined since Dec. 16 with a fractured bone spur in the navicular of his right foot and a stress reaction. Previously, he could return shortly before the NBA All-Star Game.
